Lisa Ney, LCSW
Lisa Ney, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of experience. Lisa received her BA in Social Work at Penn State University in 1983 and received a Double Masters: a master’s in clinical social work from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles, California in 1988.
As a seasoned psychotherapist, Lisa has worked with children, individuals, couples and families both in Israel and the United States and can provide therapeutic services in Hebrew and English. Her practice is rooted in providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy to address a wide range of emotional and psychological needs in a safe and supportive environment.
Lisa worked as a psychotherapist at the Mental Health Clinic for the Treatment of Children and Youth of the Health Ministry in Jerusalem, Israel for several years. She did psychotherapy, play therapy with children and youth, therapy and consultations with parents, individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy. Additionally, Lisa worked in the Clinic for Marriage Counseling, Yavne, Department of Social Welfare, Israel. She is skilled in conducting court assessments and offering expert recommendations for custody and visitation matters. Her goal is to support clients in navigating their challenges while ensuring fair and thoughtful considerations in legal contexts.
Lisa has extensive experience in supporting individuals with disabilities, enhancing social skills, and fostering healthy relationships and sexuality. With a compassionate, client-centered and trauma-informed approach, Lisa specializes in helping clients navigate personal challenges and achieve greater self-awareness, independence, and fulfillment. Her work integrates evidence-based therapies with a deep understanding of diverse needs, focusing on empowering clients to build meaningful connections and live authentically.
